Tennis Club open day

Last Sunday afternoon, the sun was shining, so what better way to spend the afternoon than trying your hand at tennis? Well that is exactly what many people did at our Tennis Club “try tennis for free” day.

All four courts were in constant use, with adult coaching, junior coaching, a court for knocking up with Club members and a court exclusively for trying different rackets under expert guidance. You could even try them and take one away for a few days to see if you still liked it.

Homemade cakes, biscuits and drinks were served.  It was great to see people from the Village come and see the facilities and best of all to see juniors hitting some balls and really enjoying themselves.  We also saw an “old boy” return, Ollie Palmer, a long time member of the club who is currently on a tennis scholarship in America.  He gave some coaching and was happy to answer lots of questions about how he was getting on, before he had to leave for County Tennis training

Of course, if you missed out, do not despair, contact our Tennis Club membership secretary, using this link who can advise how to get started
