Village fete and Barn Dance

Every year on August Bank holiday Monday, TRAC organise the Twyning Village fete held on the village green. This is a great event we renowned locally as being one of the best fetes in the area. In the right weather, thousands descend on the village for an afternoon of traditional village fun.

We have attractions such as stalls from local organisations, a car boot sale, tombola, refreshments, licensed bar, arena entertainment (include our famous egg throwing competition), raffle, BBQ, competitions to name just a few.

We also have the use of neighbouring fields for car parking.

Fun starts from 1pm and finishes at around 4pm. But why stop then?? The local pubs; The Village Inn and The Fleet will be open to serve you a wide selection of food and drinks to make for a perfect Bank Holiday Monday. You never know, it might even be sunny!

Also, on every Saturday before we make full use of the marquee and host an entertainment evening, usually in the form of a Barn Dance, though we have been known to mix this up a bit with local bands. This is a great opportunity to let your hair, socialise with friends and truly embrace village life. Ticket prices include entry and something from the BBQ, provided by local butchers.
